In 2012 I repeated the breeding of Hannah to Grissom. I was so pleased with the 2011 litter (keeping two tri bitches), but this time I wanted a sable bitch. On May 18, 2012 a litter of four was whelped and included one lone sable bitch!

Chantelle's show career: I can hardly believe it myself....talk about a Wham - Bam show career!! In over 40 years of showing, I have never had one finish so quickly! Chantelle finished her championship in 6 shows, during a two week period.....as a very yearling adult! It started October 19, 2013 when she won FIRST FUTURITY FINALIST at the Southern California Collie Club. That same day, in the regular classes, she went Winners Bitch and Best Opposite Sex to Breed for a 4 point major (over rough and smooth ch. bitches)! She sat home for two weeks waiting for the Dixon specialties. At Dixon, she ended up winning 3 of the 4 shows entered. She finished with (4) four-point specialty majors, all owner handled from the BBE class. All this and I didn't think she had enough coat nor did I think she was ready to be shown (what do I know??). I seldom show my bitches at this age, usually waiting until they are older and more mature. They say timing is everything and her show career certainly demonstrates that simple concept!!!

"Best in Match" at the South Bay Collie Fanciers puppy match held in LA on August 28, 2012. She was 3.5 months old!

Chantelle is a granddaughter of two of my favorite bitches, Ch. Chelsea CoCo Chanel and Ch. Chelsea Midsummer Classic...thus making her a 2X's great granddaughter of Ch. Chelsea Summer Blonde and a 1X great granddaughter of Ch. Chelsea The Crown Jewel (making her a 3X's great great granddaughter of Ch. Chelsea Charidan Carte Blanc, ROM). Going even further back, she is 2X's Ch. Chelsea Shadowgold and 6X's Ch. Chelsea Ice Castles. She traces 9 times to our first Champion, Ch. Chelsea Gold Mist whelped in 1973; 9 times to one of our foundation bitches, Chelsea Evening Elf and 15X's to our other foundation bitch, Marnus Chelsea Morning!
